The bulbs are NOT a bayonet base...they are wedge style and you can use either the lower wattage 912 or the higher 921. Depends on how much light output you want. The fixture probably came with 921 bulbs. There is also a clear plastic sticker on the center fixture that tells you that you can use either bulb...but not anything that exceeds what the 921 draws.
