Yes, replacing the switch with one that would allow operation by a pull chain would work IF one found a switch that would fit in the fan assembly and was safely installed...and turning on/off the fan by using an appropriate length of dowel rod would as well. It all comes down to what the owner of the trailer wants to do and what their skills are capable of. My opinion has always been that those cheap $10 ventline fans really don't belong in a Montana...but just my opinion. John
