We have ours where they were installed from the factory and several years ago put the Snap Pads on and haven’t had any problems, and we even run a bit nose high. I doubt there is a problem raising them up, so whatever makes you happy will work. Yeah, even with them where they are, we’ve had occasion to need blocks if we are in a really bad location, so it’s still good to carry a set.
