That is why we stay on I-10 to either 215 or 210 and go north to northwest thru Palmdale and Lancaster up to hwy 58 to Bakersfield. Then because we are going to Lodi, we usually stay on Hwy 99. Some construction and re-paving going on, but doable and much more pleasant ride than just a couple years ago.
