Slide out sheer bolts

There was a thread last week on the bolt on the side of the slide out gears sheering off. I was under mine today and found the bolts were so long they were angled in a way that the slide out shinny rod was rubing on them and the head of the bolt was not even in all the way because it was to long. I got my bolt cutters and took one half inch off the ones that were touching 3 out of the 4 slides rods. These bolts have the sholders on them and this part is stronger then the threaded part. I guess they used the longer bolt because the shoulder would be longer then on a shorter bolt. Long story short check yours to see if they rub or rest on your shinny rod. With slide open, closed or somewhere in between. cut em off and snug them all the way in.
