LPG Safety Question
My power and sail boats have a manual solenoid switch to isolate LPG to the cook top/oven. The power boat even cycles for 60 second cycle to confirm no LPG leak by 2 detectors before it will allow opening the LPG solenoid valve. I once had cook top burner slightly open and it leaked LPG into the trailer, which eventually triggered the LPG detector alarm went off as I was outside the trailer and a neighbor alerted me. That event occurred on a blistering hot day when the rv park lost power and the motor homes on each side turned their generators on to power their AC's so I was really concerned the LPG leak could have caused an explosion and fire. After that event I make it a rule to manually close the LPG tank valves and disconnect the LPG hose to it after use. Curious why trailers do not have a manual solenoid switch to open and isolate LPG to the cook top /oven and furnace to safeguard a potential leak?
