depending on how your state does sales taxes you may have to come up with a chunk of money for taxes on the full purchase price of a new unit vs only paying taxes on the difference. I know one dealer told me if I sold it to run it threw them and they would write it up so I didn't have to pay taxes on the entire purchase price of the new one.
