We brought power from the basement to the front compartment, up through the hole that the hydraulic hoses go through and then under the bed area to the head if the bed. We routed and secured the pliable wire such that it would not get caught when running the slide in and out. Has worked for 7 years and two rigs.
Yes, the mattress will fit snug to the wall with the hoses that go through two holes drilled through the plywood support.
