Well you certainly opened a can of worms with this one. Depending on what tires you use 65 could be your max, others are good for higher speeds. The most important factor is not to exceed your tires and your comfortably. With the proper tires and a good road with a 70 or 75 mph speed limit, then if your comfortable at those speeds then I see nothing wrong with those speeds. Some will shudder at anything over 65, to each his own. What I think is most dangerous is the guy driving 10mph under the speed limit on a two lane road. Being comfortable goes a long way towards being safe.
