I read somewhere that dreams are how our brains catalog things that happen to us when we're awake. The thinking is that it drags up old stuff and associates it with new stuff that is similar so we can find it later.
My theory is that this dream was one of those filing events. The sniper is a metaphor for the water balloon olympics and the drying racks symbolize MOCers coming together in support of one another. The fat general is any MOCer leaving the pot luck dinner and the buck board has to be one of those little Amish buggies. My addled brain probably changed the buggy to a buckboard so I wouldn't have to shoot at an Amish person.
The reason I missed is obvious, eh fellow olympians?
