We are attempting to install laminate flooring in our 2005 2955. We are inexperienced in flooring and need some help from someone who has installed laminate.

The transition strip we bought, or "reducer" strip, is not wide enough to cover the gap between the slide and the kitchen floor when the slide is out. You can still see the white plastic ramp the slide rolls on! How can we close the gap? Did we buy the wrong strip?

Any help is greatly appreciated and is better than none. Thanks in advance. We took photos but don't know how to post them.
