We love the floor plan of our Big Sky 3670. We had Coachmen Prospera with a center Island. Found ourselve playing ring-a-round the island.
The first thing I noticed was that the drawers were about 16" deep with room back of them for about 24", so I re-made the drawer "box" and saved the drawer fronts to re-attach and then replaced the slides with full extension slides.
Under the stove is vacant space. I removed the thin panel and replaced it with a new "flop down" door.
The cabinet with the lazy susan didn't appeal to us so I took it out and made a shelf in it. Above that cabinet was an empty space, so I made another shelf for it and again took out the thin panel and replaced it with a door.
Under that cabinet I put an "under the counter" coffee maker.
The cabinet with the coat hangers has two shelves, this is for our canned goods
and the cabinet below is our "refreshment" area.
Above the door I made an oak cap hanger.
The entertainment center area got shelves also.
In the bedroom I made cabinets that fit on each end of the counter - my toiletries in one my domestic goddess has the other.
We took out the pretty trim above the cabinets in the bathroom - the goddess has unmentionables there.
We switched the couch and the chairs - couch accross the back and chairs accross from the TV.
Finally, during a RV show we visited an Exel coach and saw a kitchen table witha top that would slide to the side to allow a person to get to the chairs, once seated, you can slide the table toward yourself to let someone get to the chairs on the other side.
No, I am not a carpenter, but I do a lot of woodworking.
Ours is a 2002, and the model we have has that exterior 110v outlet next to the door which if you are not careful will dent the door. That is my next project.
