Now that I am at stage three of my water closet re-do, I find the floor is not working with my new color scheme. I would like to put something else on the floor but I would like to remove the commode and put it back to do it right.

It appears to be an easy thing, but those are famous last words. For anyone who has removed the commode I would appreciate any tips, tricks, or techniques.
