My Montana has a place on the side, inside a door, to store the sewer hose. At least I am pretty sure that is what it is.

The previous owner kept the sewer hose in a laundry basket in the storage compartment under the bed. I decided to put it where it is supposed to go.

The only problem is that it is a 20 foot hose and I could only get about 5 or 6 feet into the storage compartment.

Am I correct? Is that what this storage compartment is for? If so why is it so short?
