Yep you would be right after checking the bottom plate is thinner on the stock 2016 Lippert pin box than the bottom plate on the 2019 Lippert Trailair air ride pin box I just put on 2 moths ago. I also checked the thickness of the bottom plate on the Roto flex pin box that came stock with my new 2018 unit which is the one I replaced with the Trailair and they are both the same thickness but still thicker than the 2016 pin box.
Mine has not dented from the set screws, sooooo in this case size dose matter.
I got to get rid of some of this junk sitting around the garage, just sold a Reese 5th Airborne that I had for 3 years for sale, I thought I was going to have to pay someone to come over and take it and it was on Craigslist.
