Roomy, good facilities. Reservations WAY in advance (like, a year) needed during the snowbird season. Fine golf course(s), dining facilities, big BX/Commissary, etc..FAMCAMP is about 3 miles from the Main Base complex.

Wi-fi available only in or very near the Activity Center. No other hight speed data connections. Telephone modem connections avail in the Activities Center.

Difficult drive through the Tampa metro area to get here. Be sure to check with the FAMCAMP and/or Security on which gate to enter through and the route to it.

Biggest negative so far - black "swamp" mosquitos - voracious little buggers, make long trousers a must. Seem immune to any bug spray we've tried. Rumor has it that they die off in Nov...hope so for those who winter over.

We're leaving here on 5 Nov, headed West, to S. Calif.
