We're looking to have the LR/DR slide re-carpeted. The carpet is tucked behind the fluted casing around the slide.
I know others have probably dealt with this. What did you do? I'm considering cutting a few inches off the casing and adding plinth blocks with the new carpet tucked behind them. Sort of like the picture below.
