I left mine in and just cut out a small square of cloroplast around each one. When finished under there I used ss self tapping tek screws & washers next to the original nail fasteners. Also on mine I could get up in between the 2 tanks with a flashlight & mirror & see part of the top of the tanks, at least the end where all the vents & drains came out of the top. Was able to check them & make sure no leaks there. Good luck & wear a hard hat if u have one.
