Thanks everybody! I called Thetford yesterday and the very nice customer service rep informed me that Thetford no longer included the grease with the repair kit...she went on to say that any "silicon based" grease would do the job...just as you folks have said. Couldn't get to the job yesterday (had to bring Camilla to the doctor's office), but this morning I tackled the job...the version of the toilet we have is a little different than the one refered to in the Trailer Life mag article and the one referred to in Thetford's directions, but all went pretty well! We now have a working toilet. Again, thanks for your responses.
