Tracfone
We are down from Canada and bought a tracfone at Wal Mart when we crossed the border. We were extremely pleased at the price and service and will be able to have our same phone number in the US every year, at no additional cost. we can call anywhere in North America without long distance and only pay for the air time which is a reasonable rate. The one problem we had and would bring to the attention of any Canadians is this. You cannot use a Canadian Credit Card to add or buy airtime on the internet or the phone. We spent about $20.00 worth of air time talking to the Help Center three separate times, in India, before they finally said we could not use our Credit Card. Once known, simple to buy another card at Wal Mart and problem solved.
