We spent our weekend in the Big Apple. Drove down Sat. with our 26 yr. old son to deliver him to Columbia U. where he is in his 2nd year working on a PhD. The drive was long (8.5 hrs not counting stops) but the weather was great and the country we rolled thru was just plain beautiful.
In the city we had fun watching all the other parents arriving with their kids. We saw them in the shops and in the restaurants. My son tells me those were the best meals the kids would get till the holidays. We enjoyed New York, especialy without the traffic, and, of course, the Rep. convention. Drove home yesterday, beautiful weather, light traffic and no delay at the border. I think I better go buy a lottery ticket.
