Just plugged into the pedestal and running off the fresh water tank filling when it's at or above freezing then disconnecting and draining the hose throughly. We have a composting toilet so there is no issue with managing a black tank.

We're full timers so some time ago I went to great lengths to seal up the underbelly including temporary plugs around the hydraulic cylinders.

Even in the teens it stays above freezing all the way back by the fresh water tank. Furnace is set at 70 during the day and 55 at night. Averaging a tank of propane every week or so. Longer when it's warmer and sunny a little less when it's in the teens at night overcast during the day.

I also added a vent leading to the water heater/furnace compartment to help keep temperatures equalized between the furnace cycling on. On the coldest nights I leave the pantry door ajar to help with air flow.
