Greg,

Great blog, are you getting enough sun to run Frig off the inverter?

How many Amp Hours you using now.

John, I'm not running the fridge off of the A/C. That way I can shut down the inverter when I don't need it. If I leave it on, then the Satellite receiver, TV etc etc... I've got an additional 10amps constant draw for stuff I'm not using. I could flip the breaker since I have them all on a sub panel, or unplug them, but its just too much like work and it cuts in to cocktail hour - so It's easier to just turn off the inverter. One finger push.

I'm using about 140ah per day.

I need to point my stern another 30 degrees or so for best light. By the time the sun is highest I've got shade from my ac units. Next week when the circle breaks up I'm going to play spin the bottle to see what direction works best for me. I have a feeling that a north pointing stern might work best as my two (passenger side) panels on the slope would be pointed more towards the sun. Right now they are on the side away from the sun and shaded by the a/c units some.

I'm going to guess that I could boost my output another 30-50ah by proper orientation.

I'll let you know.
