I would not think jacking under a axle would cause a problem as you probably still have some weight on the other tire and it seems like in real world driving one axle or the other will take the majority of the weight causing the same thing as placing a jack under an axle. Pretty sure my truck instructions tells me to put jack under axle to change the tire. Maybe I have been doing this wrong for years. Maybe they should put a sticker showing where to jack the units so we all know for sure. Because I have auto leveling I am lazy and used it to lift all the tires off the ground because it works and is convenient. I also only have one floor jack.
