What you are talking about is a tuner. I have an 08 6.4 with a Spartan tuner. To answer your question you will without question get better fuel mileage. How much is the question. Try maybe one MPG. You have probably heard 3 or 4. That is BS. Will you loose your warranty, that depends on your dealer. They fill out the paperwork when you have your truck serviced. If they are mod friendly you are OK if not loose your warranty.
The real question is should you tune your truck. That’s up to you. I don’t know that I would tune a 6.7. I wouldn’t drive my 6.4 without a tuner. It is a different truck tuned. Much more responsive the transmission shifts better and over 600 HP. It WILL pull a camper. I can find no down side. Your 6.7 is a far different animal. Everything that my tuner helped has been improved in the 6.7.
I think Sparten still makes the best tuner. Google them.
