Ok I assume the truck is new what with only 5000 miles on it. We also need to know if it is a gas or diesel? But if you alter the fuel system you are going to void the warranty. I don't know the weight of your rig but you are not going to get great mileage pulling a 5th wheel rig arround.

I have a 2015 3582 RL and the best I can get towing is about 10 MPG. We all have our little ways when dealing with this. I for one budget all my trips at 8 MPG and $3.25 per gallon of diesel. So when I get home I always have money left over.

Another way I think about it is between the truck and 5er I have over $100,000. Invested and I just am not going to worry about the cost of fuel to RV parks.
