Paul Doofus had a lightning strike at his Casa, damaging stuff.

I have one on my Casa, and on the Montana. They are under $150 I think, and worth every penny. I have had to change both of them, so they worked well for me. When a fault occurs they sacrifice themselves. I glance at mine when I come in the basement, a Green light shows protection, Red; kaput! (Actually two greens, one for each Pole on 220.)
