I put this together. The DuPont or similar filter is a sediment and taste filter and the Pentex or similar is for any other nasties, I use quick disconnects, and mount it outside of the RV on a 1/2" rebar post driven into the ground, The blue hose hooks to the water hookup in the convenience center via the disconnect. Been using it for 4-5 years with only a yearly filter change. I prefer the exterior mount as our HC really doesn't have excess storage. I have essentially the same system in the house though do have a separate potable water filter on the kitchen sink for taste. Our water usually comes from the Hudson River and while perfectly safe, tastes lousy from whatever treatment chemicals used
