Your installation looks right to me.

I have the in-command touch screen in my unit. Sometimes if I don’t touch the “slide in” or “slide out” button just right - it will start then stop. A rocker switch would be easier. The same goes for my bedroom slide which is a schwintek slide. I have to be very careful and deliberate to put my fingertip correctly on the touch button just right and keep constant pressure to make it run. Lights and other touch switches are not as difficult. The constant pressure needed to keep the slide moving is a learned skill for me!
