We use our remote to operate everything from the outside also. Like Carl n Susan mentioned, it's great for when I'm hitching back up to the truck. For the slides, my wife checks to make sure everything is clear on the inside and then keeps an eye on things when I extend them. We've been in a couple places where we had to watch the clearance outside too.
