Glenn, I am all confused now.
If my 3400RL GVWR is 15500 and I have Missions rated at 3520 and I replace the Missions with the Michelin Ribs LT235/85R16XPS E Rated at 3042 lbs, wouldn't I be downgrading my load factor?

No doubt about it BUT take your fully loaded rig ready for travel to the scales and weigh it. Now calculate your weight per tire. If your total travel weight per tire is less than 3042 you will be fine BUT if you EXCEED 3042 per tire than don't do it. It wasn't that long ago when all the Montys came thru with LT235/85R16 E Rated tires and these tires were fine and in my opinion still are so long as they are NOT loaded over the 3042# MAX load.
