I see in the 6.0 PSD manual I'm supposed to use only Motorcraft filters for air, oil, and fuel filters. No 'ford specs' are provided for aftermarket filters like there are for oils, grease, etc. So I have a couple of questions for those of you with some experience with the Ford PSD engines:

1. Do you use only Ford filters? (I supposed they cost twice what I'd expect).

2. Do you have your oil changes done by a Ford service facility? I'm used to having Walmart change oil in my gas engines.

3. Do you use Motorcraft oil? I always used Motorcraft in my Fords but buy it at Walmart.

4. Can the Ford filters be purchased at a store that might sell them cheaper than a Ford dealer would sell them for?

Thanks. I'm obviously a newbie to diesel but am at this point in awe of its towing power.
