12 Volts may be two low. Are you sure the battery is being charging? Should be around 13.5 volts or higher when charged, and 12.5 Volts when battery is sitting for a few hours at rest with no load. Also check your truck and make sure the fuse that provides power while traveling is good, it might be blown.
