Assuming your bought a 2020 5th whee for $125,000 today, the registration fee would be 1,096.00. ANythig more is "sales tax/use fee"

So there must have been other charges (difference between sales tax selling state and CA?)
If it had been me, I would have gladly paid all the taxes/fees, put it on the market for $70-80K and been happy with a $50K profit.
