I have had the Trailer Saver hitch in my F-250 for three years now. It was expensive (when compared to the standard hitches) but was one of the best investments I made. The ride of the 5th wheel is improved about 80% over that of my previous Draw-Tite & Reese hitches.
I've never had any trouble with the jaws closing using the standard teflon disk.
