Sorry apparently I didn't fully read your post. If both including the 12 volt hard wired co detector is tripping while in storage and not being used I would be concerned. I would remove the LPG tanks and shut off everything. For both a 9 volt battery operated and a 12 volt hard wired co detector to trip either both batteries are low, both units are faulty or there is the presence of co.
