"Aluminum roof supports" sure puzzles me. The rafters are stamped steel, not aluminum. I sort of think they might be just telling you something to make you happy. Seems I read on here before that the ceiling is attached to the rafters with steel brads (pneumatic gun) and they rust causing the yellowish stains through the caulking they cover the brad heads with.
