We are England veterans also that experienced learning to drive on the wrong side of the road and roundabouts. Once we learned the system it became easy to handle. The double roundabouts were another story. I did the ugly american thing and took my half out of the middle and find myself doing the same thing here with the small lanes in our roundabouts.
