We have two issues with our range. The first is the wire from the igniter occasionally falls off, and just have to push it back into the connector. And with the oven, just lit it today for a meal, you might need a flashlight aimed at the pilot, but you have to push in on the knob when in the pilot position, and hold it a little longer than you might think necessary, so the gas makes it to the pilot flame position, and then I light ours with a butane bar-b-que lighter. It does take some flexibility to do this operation. There are a few individuals on the MOC that have the talent to wire an igniter to the oven, which would makes things much easier.
