Our '14 Montana came with GY Marathons. On our first trip out, we encountered another Montana owner who warned us repeatedly about the "China Bombs" or "Marabombs" as he called them. We check air pressure regularly and keep an eye on tread wear and never had a problem with them in nearly 30,000 miles. When we decided to replace them, the local Big O manager discovered two were in process of tread separation and he suggested Sailuns. Now, almost two years later they still look new and only time I have to add air is if there is a big temp drop. TPMS says they never warm up more than about 10-15 degrees above the ambient temp. Recently added a Sailun as the spare and will only need to buy three when these are ready for replacement. We put 8-10,000 miles on a year and expect these to be good for up to five years if tread wear so far is any indication.
