Spent an extended time at FT Gordon just outside Augusta GA this winter and towards the end of our stay I was approached by another camper who had been on site a few weeks. His stay was up and he asked if I would mind towing his 5th wheel to his new location about an hour and a half away. Noticing that his dually was onsite just a few days earlier I asked if he had truck issues or…? He told me he couldn’t afford the fuel and SOLD his truck?? I had only spoken with the gent once, noticed that his rig wasn’t in the best condition, and we had some medical issues that we were dealing with, I told him I couldn’t assist. Next day he comes knocking at the door and asks if he could borrow my hitch! He found another truck that “should be able to handle the rig”. Needless to say the answer again was no.
