If the awning is installed above the slide, not on the slide, seems like the second awning would provide better protection than a topper when the slide is open and awning out? While we prefer to have slide toppers, there are certainly plenty of rigs around without them that do just fine. Guess you could remove the awning and replace with a topper, but then without an awning, you could not use the entertainment center in the rain.
