Go for it theres nothing to restrict your travel plans to Jasper or anywhere on the trip you have suggested sounds like a great time. We have had our fifth wheel all over that area with no issues what so ever. The only thing to keep in mind is its our 150th birthday this year and there will be a zillion people on the roads travelling, renting camp sites etc so please plan accordingly. The Calgary Stampede starts the first Friday of July and its worth taking in the rodeo my next time will be my 20th time seeing it. Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, the Ice fields are all must see if you are in the areas. You are making me jealous this trip is my favourite in Western Canada and the places you have mentioned in the States are on our list for next years transcontinental holy crap she retired for real this time trip. Oh by the way you can go online and book reservations at any of the Gov campgrounds and I highly recommend doing so, its mostly dry camping but its great.
