Wore out the inside of 4 new tires on one 8,500 mile trip last year. They made my rig with 6,000 pound axles and 2,500 pound leaf springs. After the trip, I replaced all 4 springs to 3,000 pound. I then used an 8 foot straight edge across both wheels like igalmi looking for gaps where the straight edge should be touching tire. Both right wheels were bent, one in and the other out. I Googled "bent trailer axle repair" and watched someone use a chain and 30 ton bottle jack to straighten. Got both axles straight using that method. Checked vertical alignment with level per dieselguy's procedure, all 4 are slightly bubble out. Put on new tires and am taking another 8,500 mile trip in Sept. Will find out if 4 hours and $32 Harbor Freight bottle jack solved the tire wear issue.
