So I had about 12k miles which included a round trip cross-country FL/CA with absolutely zero tire wear issues. At the end of those miles I returned it to the dealer to have some warranty repair which included brakes. The next trip after the warranty work FL/LA and return is when I found the problem (probably coincidence).
