Yes a lot of people have done this. once you pull the inside down, you will notice there is an inner plexi glass and the outer shell. you can place the tinting on top of the inner piece. Also there are multiple colors and textures of tint at those big stores like Home Depot, if you want to make it fancy and not just tinted.
