Dick-- To keep the critters from turning over the trap, turn an electric fence post(the rod type) upside down and put the top through the corner of the cage and pound it about five or six inches into the ground. If the critter can pull it out and turn the cage over for a great escape then he's bigger than you want to mess with anyway.
