We drove from Santa Fe to Taos on Hwy 68 9/12 and the next day was told the highway was closed due to rock slides. New Mexico is getting hit hard but not quite as bad as Colorado. There is a large sink hole caused by rain in median of I40 just west of Albequerque with one lane cosed each direction. Local news said the hole is expanding so check on this if you are going to travel on 40. Don't know the current status of Hwy 68.
