Gary, That e-mail has been around for a while. I tried it on both a Ford and GM model just to see if it worked. Never did get it to work. Tried several times holding the phone in several places around the vehicle. Glad it worked for you. What model vehicle and where did you hold the cell phone in relationship to the vehicle? Jim
