We just purchased a 2015 3910FB as a repeat buyer at a dealership. We have been told order units do not get the same level of attention during production as units that have to be sold. True or false, don't really know. Told the dealer exactly what we wanted, he brought in a unit from another dealer the next day. Price for that unit was the same as if we went ahead and ordered from him. Same Same. Negotiated 25 percent off the price which was comparable to what I found during my web research. Wanted top wholesale for our 2010, didn't get what I wanted, and took what they offered. Following week, saw our old rig for sale on site at $3000. more than what we got which told me we got more than a fair deal. Unit prices are a variable of many factors to include greed, sales volume, cash flow issues, individual dealer overhead costs, sales pressure on salesmen, to name a few. For this purchase, the price for the identical unit was the same whether special order or off the lot. My experience over the years for RVs and vehicles is that if you tell the dealer what you want he will find one.
